History of the Hayabusa Legacy

 

Ryūjiro Tenkai Hayabusa is the leader of the Hayabusa-ke no Kyōdaitō  and his brother, Kenji Hayabusa, is in charge of the Hayabusa no senshi-tachi. In the era of the Tokugawa Shogunate, there existed a clandestine group known as the Hayabusa's. They were skilled warriors and cunning thieves who operated in the shadows, seeking to reclaim the treasures that had been wrongfully taken from them by the shogunate. Amongst their many grievances was the theft of an ancient gyokuza, rumored to house a scroll containing secrets to forging the unmatched weapons and fighting techniques of Kaminari Ryujin.

 

Legend spoke of this artifact, adorned with diamonds and gemstones, which had eluded the shogunate's attempts to unlock its secrets. The Hayabusa's, aware of the scroll's true power, knew that it was their duty to retrieve it and safeguard its knowledge. In their daring mission to liberate the stolen treasures, the Hayabusa's resolved to reclaim this scroll case, for its contents held the key to their future.

As they beheld the vast collection, their eyes gleamed with determination and longing for what was stolen from them and so many others.

 

Amidst the glittering gold and silver artifacts, the Hayabusa located the coveted gyokuza. Its beauty was unparalleled, adorned with diamonds and gemstones that sparkled like stars in the night sky. After completing the trails, the Hayabusa's could see that the legends were true, for within this case lay the knowledge of ancient techniques that could not be matched. The signature technique, "Battou soku zan, hiki-ire" (抜刀即斬、引き入れ), incapacitated opponents with a single, precise strike to their vital points as the sword is being drawn. Note: Battou soku zan, hiki-ire can only be per formed with the blade being drawn, the opponent being struck down in a single swing of the sword, and the sword being concealed, all in a single motion.

 

To complement the power of Tenkai Shinken-ryu, the Hayabusa family commissioned the legendary Ryūjin no Tsurugi. Forged by Ryujiro Tenkai Hayabusa and the help of his renowned blacksmiths, this masterpiece combined the finest qualities of various Japanese swords.
